NORRED Project Controls

Managed Service Standards

NORRED Managed Project Controls is designed as a structured, asynchronous back-office service. Field and project teams submit information through approved intake channels. NORRED processes the information in scheduled cycles, maintains the agreed control systems, identifies exceptions, and returns decision-ready reporting.

These standards explain the normal operating model. Each client's written proposal and service agreement controls the final scope, volume allowance, reporting cadence, turnaround, fees, and responsibilities.

For Monthly Snapshot ($299/month), Controls Plus ($599/month) and Weekly Controls ($999/month), the monthly plan comparison and accepted client scope define the included workload, turnaround and support. Daily digests, out-of-cycle escalation and quarterly 25-point reassessment are not automatically included. Higher-touch Managed Controls Essentials starts at $1,500/month under a separate scope.

Official submission channels

  • Approved NORRED intake forms
  • Client workspace or designated project folders
  • Project-specific intake email when included in the engagement
  • Approved system exports or scheduled data files

Messages sent to personal employee accounts, text messages, or informal communication channels are not considered official project submissions unless NORRED confirms otherwise in writing.

Controlled processing cycles

Standard submissions are processed during the business-day cycles stated in the client's proposal. Information may be submitted throughout the day, but normal items are classified and processed as a batch rather than interrupting the workflow one email at a time.

  • Submissions received before the agreed cutoff enter the applicable processing cycle.
  • Noncritical items received after cutoff move to the next scheduled cycle.
  • Missing or incomplete information is consolidated into an organized request instead of multiple scattered emails.
  • Urgent same-day work is not included unless the service level or an approved add-on specifically provides it.

Outputs available when included in the accepted scope

Depending on the selected service, NORRED may provide:

  • Daily Control Digest: information received, items processed, missing data, approaching deadlines, management attention required, and next actions.
  • Weekly Project Controls Summary: key changes, cost and schedule movement, risks, issues, actions, changes, documents, and decisions required.
  • Monthly Executive Report: management dashboard, performance trends, forecast, commercial exposure, reporting quality, and recommended priorities.
  • Quarterly 25-Point Control Health Review: formal reassessment of the client's control environment and progress against the improvement plan.

Priority exceptions

Certain conditions may be escalated outside the normal report cycle when they meet the thresholds defined in the engagement. Examples can include an approaching contractual deadline, material cost exposure, a critical milestone delay, unauthorized work, a missing required deliverable, or an executive decision needed to prevent further impact.

NORRED is not a 24-hour emergency dispatch, legal-notice, engineering, safety, or incident-response service. The client remains responsible for immediate operational action, contractual notice, safety decisions, engineering decisions, approvals, and legal compliance.

Volume and scope limits

Managed-service pricing is based on workload, not simply the number of emails. The proposal may define limits for:

  • Number of active projects
  • Control modules and registers
  • Structured submissions and source documents
  • Transactions, invoices, changes, RFIs, submittals, or correspondence items
  • Processing cycles and turnaround
  • Dashboards and reports
  • Revision cycles and included support
  • Historical records and data-cleanup allowance

Volume above the contracted allowance, additional projects, historical reconstruction, substantial data cleanup, custom integrations, accelerated processing, and material changes in scope require written approval and may involve additional fees.

Data quality and client responsibilities

NORRED organizes, monitors, analyzes, and reports the information supplied by the client. The client is responsible for:

  • Providing accurate, complete, and timely source information
  • Identifying the correct project, cost code, contract item, or responsible party
  • Maintaining access rights and authority to share submitted information
  • Reviewing and approving management decisions
  • Confirming contractual, financial, engineering, legal, and operational actions
  • Responding to missing-information and decision requests within the required timeframe

NORRED reports should distinguish confirmed source data, client-reported information, unresolved discrepancies, assumptions, and observations requiring confirmation.

Communication and meetings

The standard model is asynchronous by default and meetings by exception. Routine updates, questions, missing-information requests, and report delivery are handled through the approved workspace and email process. Included meetings, if any, are defined in the selected package. Additional meetings or training sessions may be added to the scope.

Security and sensitive information

Do not submit passwords, payment-card data, protected health information, export-controlled information, legally privileged material, classified information, or other highly sensitive data through a public website form or ordinary email. When sample files are required, NORRED will provide approved secure-submission instructions after the initial fit review.

Final scope controls

No managed-service work begins until the client receives and accepts a written scope stating the deliverables, reporting cadence, service limits, responsibilities, fees, payment schedule, assumptions, exclusions, and effective date.
