Refund policy
Digital downloads: refunds and technical problems
This section applies to standard downloadable workbooks and bundles purchased from the NORRED catalog. The service cancellation policy below applies to professional services and client-specific deliverables.
Because digital products are immediately accessible and cannot be physically returned, sales are generally final after access or download. NORRED will review a request involving a duplicate charge, non-delivery, corrupted file, materially incorrect file, or a non-waivable right under applicable law. Customers should report a delivery or technical problem within 10 business days. NORRED may first provide a replacement file, corrected link, compatibility guidance, or reasonable technical assistance before considering a refund.

SERVICE CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
Effective Date: October 3, 2026
This policy applies to professional services provided by NORRED INC., doing business as NORRED Project Controls (“NORRED,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). NORRED provides project controls, contract administration, document control, executive reporting, project assessments, dashboards, and related consulting services. We do not sell or ship physical products through this website.
- PROJECT AGREEMENTS
Services may be governed by a proposal, statement of work, service agreement, invoice, or other written engagement document. If an accepted engagement document contains payment, cancellation, or refund terms that differ from this policy, the engagement document will control.
- CANCELLATION BEFORE WORK BEGINS
A client may request cancellation in writing before NORRED begins the engagement.
If no work has begun, prepaid fees for unperformed services may be refunded. Authorized third-party expenses, payment-processing charges that are not returned to NORRED, and other nonrecoverable costs may be deducted from the refund.
- CANCELLATION AFTER WORK BEGINS
Once work begins, fees related to professional time already performed, meetings conducted, documents reviewed, analysis completed, deliverables prepared, authorized expenses incurred, or project capacity reserved are non-refundable.
If prepaid fees exceed the amount earned or incurred through the cancellation date, NORRED will refund the remaining unearned balance unless the applicable engagement agreement states otherwise.
- FIXED-FEE ASSESSMENTS AND HEALTH CHECKS
Fixed-fee assessments, project controls health checks, document reviews, reports, and similar services may be canceled before NORRED begins reviewing the client’s documents, data, systems, or project information.
Once review or analysis begins, the portion of the fee related to completed work and incurred costs is non-refundable.
- MONTHLY OR RECURRING SERVICES
Monthly or recurring services may be canceled according to the notice requirements stated in the applicable agreement.
Unless otherwise stated in writing, fees for a service period that has already begun are not prorated or refunded. Services may continue through the end of the paid service period.
- CUSTOM REPORTS AND DIGITAL DELIVERABLES
Custom reports, dashboards, schedules, templates, analyses, recommendations, and other client-specific digital deliverables cannot be returned after delivery.
If a deliverable materially fails to match the agreed scope, the client should notify NORRED within 10 business days after delivery. NORRED will review the concern and, when appropriate, correct or revise the deliverable within the original scope before a refund is considered.
- CLIENT DELAYS
Refunds are not automatically available when an engagement is delayed because the client fails to provide required documents, data, system access, approvals, decisions, or other information needed for NORRED to perform the work.
Fees for work already performed, authorized expenses, and reserved capacity remain due.
- CANCELLATION BY NORRED
If NORRED cancels an engagement or is unable to complete prepaid services, NORRED will refund the unearned portion of prepaid fees after accounting for completed work and authorized, nonrecoverable expenses.
- BILLING ERRORS
Suspected duplicate charges, incorrect invoice amounts, or other billing errors should be reported promptly.
NORRED will investigate the matter and correct any verified billing error.
- PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AND RESULTS
Fees compensate NORRED for professional time, expertise, administration, analysis, and agreed deliverables.
Unless expressly guaranteed in a signed written agreement, NORRED does not guarantee a specific project result, contract award, government award, funding decision, procurement outcome, schedule result, cost result, regulatory determination, or business outcome.
Failure to achieve an outcome that was not expressly guaranteed is not, by itself, grounds for a refund when NORRED performed the agreed services.
- REQUESTING A CANCELLATION OR REFUND REVIEW
To request cancellation or a refund review, email billing@norredprojectcontrols.com and include:
Your name and organization
The proposal, engagement, or invoice number
The service involved
The requested cancellation date
A brief explanation of the request
NORRED will review the request based on the applicable agreement, work performed, expenses incurred, deliverables provided, and amounts previously paid.
Nothing in this policy limits any rights that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.

Monthly Snapshot, Controls Plus and Weekly Controls: startup and monthly billing
This plan-specific clause applies prospectively only to new accepted written scopes for these three monthly plans. Previously accepted scopes and separately scoped services, including Managed Controls Essentials, retain their existing terms. For these plans, this clause clarifies the general earned/incurred-fee and monthly no-proration provisions above.
Monthly Snapshot: $49 one-time startup/setup plus $299 first month ($348 initially). Controls Plus: $99 setup plus $599 first month ($698 initially). Weekly Controls: $149 setup plus $999 first month ($1,148 initially). Amounts are USD before applicable taxes. Later renewals include only the selected $299, $599 or $999 monthly service fee plus applicable taxes. Service renews automatically monthly, paid in advance, with no minimum term or fixed ongoing total fee.
Setup configures standard templates, reporting definitions and the submission calendar. Historical cleanup, integrations and custom builds require a separate accepted quote. Written scope, fees, service start date and next charge date are agreed before payment. Payment, scheduling and capacity reservation alone do not count as substantive work. Setup and the first paid service period begin together on the accepted start date; a late start must not shorten the paid month.
A full refund is available before substantive agreed work begins. Once setup and the first paid service period begin together, the initial payment is not refunded solely because of voluntary cancellation. NORRED still owes the agreed services through the paid period. This does not remove correction or refund rights for billing errors, failure to deliver agreed services, NORRED cancellation or inability to complete prepaid services, or refunds and rights required by law. The general policy protections remain applicable to those circumstances.
Cancel before the next scheduled charge using the subscription-management page in your customer account or email billing@norredprojectcontrols.com. NORRED records the email receipt timestamp and timezone and uses receipt time, rather than later processing time, to determine whether cancellation preceded the charge. Cancellation stops future billing; NORRED completes agreed already-paid services even when Shopify ends the billing contract immediately. Any pause or skipped unpaid period and its effect on work or capacity must be addressed in the accepted scope.
